A Chinese Football Team From Wuhan, Epicentre Of The Coronavirus, To Arrive In Spain’s Malaga This Wednesday

ALARM has triggered as confirmation of the arrival of a Chinese football team from Wuhan, epicentre of the Coronavirus will arrive this Wednesday in Spain’s Malaga.

While five Andalusians remain trapped in China because of the coronavirus that has quarantined several cities in that country, a Chinese football team will arrive on Wednesday in Andalusia, according to reports from the Ministry of Health and Families.

Under the mounting concern, the Regional Ministry of Health and Families assures that no one from the team or technical body presents symptoms of the disease.

According to the Ministry of Health, the team has been training in a different area from Wuhan before coming to Andalusia. Reportedly in Guangzhou, “located 1000 kilometers from Wuhan, so they were not in the city of origin of the outbreak of Coronavirus when it began to spread”. In addition, they add that “the team has been outside Wuhan since 2 January and therefore has passed the maximum incubation period to be monitored”.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the team is the “Wuhan Zall” football team from the city of Wuhan, where the epicentre of the Coronavirus is located. The Chinese team plays in the First Division of China and arrive in Malaga coming in from Shanghai, stopping in Istanbul on the way.

The Regional Ministry of Health and Families assures that the “the Advisory Group Monitoring Coronavirus in Andalusia will monitor this sporting event as a preventive measure” while reiterating a message of reassurance to the population that none of the team members, players and coaching staff, have any symptoms linked to the outbreak.
