San Roque Spain at Fitur travel exhibition Madrid

PERCHED on a hill overlooking Gibraltar, San Roque is a historic white town but is perhaps not the most obvious place for tourists to visit but within the boundaries of the municipality, there are Alcaidesa, Guadiaro and Sotogrande.

For this reason, the town has taken part at the Fitur Travel Exhibition in Madrid thanks to access to the stands managed by the Commonwealth of Municipalities of the Campo de Gibraltar and the Diputación de Cadiz.

The Mayor, Juan Carlos Ruiz Boix, and the Councillor for Tourism, Ana Ruiz have been spending time in Madrid meeting with various media representatives, travel agents, tour operators promoting the attractions of the area which includes the Casino, polo, golf, restaurants and beaches as well as high quality housing.

In all they expect to have held 30 meetings before the show finishes next Sunday and will have had the chance to swop ideas with officials from other tourist spots around Spain.
