Spain’s violent crime rockets as woman is gunned down in broad daylight

SPAIN has been rocked with violence as a woman was gunned down in broad daylight today (January 10).

The shocking incident took place in the Haza Grande district in Granada when a woman was shot twice outside of her home in Calle Delicias shortly before 4.45pm.

As the shots were fired a call was made to the 112 emergency services, where officers from the National Police and an ambulance raced to the scene. Upon arrival they found a 39-year-old woman who was seriously injured as a result of the gun shot wounds.

It is understood that the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where it is reported that she is conscious but in a serious condition.

As Euro Weekly News understands, no arrests have so far been made and officers are speaking to eyewitnesses at the scene. Local sources indicate that the police have not ruled out that the attempted murder of the woman was a possible case of gender-violence.
