Oidhche Bhlas Burns on the Costa del Sol Spain

Addressing the Haggis Credit: La Sala Banus

IN case you don’t speak Gaelic, the phrase translates as Happy Burns Night and that is a promise if you celebrate his life at La Sala Banus on Friday January 24.

There will be a traditional four course Scottish supper served in the Live Lounge at 8pm although guests are invited to arrive at 7.30pm for a welcome Cava reception prior to being piped into the room by a traditional Scottish bagpiper.

The menu will consist of authentic dishes including Oak Smoked Scottish Salmon, Haggis, Neeps & Tatties, Fillet of Beef with a Drambuie Sauce, Sticky Toffee Pudding and a ‘wee dram’ of Malt Whisky.

Entertainment will add to the great evening with a traditional bagpiper, Scottish songs by Mark Connor and not forgetting tradition of the declaration of the Selkirk Grace as well as the Address to the Haggis.

This great evening is always popular not just with Scots with tickets costing €50 excluding IVA and all who attend are invited to wear tartan of some sort, no matter how small.
