THE Marbella Council is to spend €140,000 to undertake improvements over four weeks on three different parts of the Paseo Maritimo.

The work will take place over a three kilometre area on the coastal path between Casa Blanca and Playa Nagueles; the La Herradura building and Avenida Lola Flores and between the beaches of El Cable and El Pinillo.

Each area has specific needs and overall there will be benefits to the pool, lampposts, benches, railings and walkways.

There are problems with the actual walkways which have been badly affected by storms and rain and as the Paseo Maritimo is such an important tourist attraction, work needs to be undertaken to bring these areas up to a good standard.
