Axarquia News: Lux Mundi events and excursions

 LUX MUNDI, Torre del Mar has a full list of exciting events coming up this month.
On Thursday, January 16 they invite those interested to join them on a coach excursion to Gibraltar. Ticket price €13, with proceeds going to fund raising.   
On Monday, January 20 they will host a U3A Art Appreciation Group where they will watch a DVD followed by a discussion regarding the intimate history of Impressionist artists. It begins at 11.00 and costs €3 for room fee.
Tuesday, January 28 sees another coach excursion to Montilla. On arriving in Montilla there will be a guided tour in English which includes Casa de Las Aguas, Santa Clara Church and Casa del Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.
During the trip, you can also visit Alvear winery, the oldest in Andalucia founded in 1729. There will be a guided tour and you will be able to taste 3 different wines.
Finally, you will have a 3 course menu with 1 drink included, there will be a choice of 2 menus which you can make when booking the trip. Ticket price of €36 includes 2 guided visits, menu, coach and travel insurance. 
From Monday, 17 to Thursday, 20 February there will be a four day coach trip visiting the province of Extremadura. The first day you will join the coach for the drive to 3* Hotel Alcántara in Caseres where you will be staying on a half board basis. There will then be a guided visit to the Historical Centre. On the second day, there will be a visit to the town of Guadalupe to see the beautiful monastery followed by a visit to the town of Trujillo. The third day will be a drive to Merida, where guests will be able to join the tourist train and the last day is a visit to La Ermita, Virgen de Ara, The Sistine Chapel of Extremadura. The ticket price is €319.
