THE CULTURAL association Crearte Albir celebrates its tenth anniversary by opening up to all those people who are attracted to art and painting. They are a group of seven amateur painters who meet every Monday and Wednesday morning at the Casa de Cultura de l’Alfas to paint in a social and relaxed atmosphere.
They are self-taught and the link between them is the hobby they share: painting and art. They are not teachers just artists that get together to paint help each other. The association stands out for its open and welcoming character. “We are open people and we like that these hours we share serve us almost as group therapy through painting and art,” they explained during a meeting with the Councillor for Culture, Manuel Casado.
Any people who like to paint and want to join this group of amateur artists are encouraged to attend the House of Culture one morning to meet them. All materials for painting are free. “All those people of open character who want to share with us their love for painting and integrate into this group of friends will be welcome”.
Each year they organize a collective exhibition at the Casa de Cultura de l’Alfas and participate in les Balconades.
