THE provincial government is investing in the Fines water network with a view to guaranteeing supply.
The Diputacion de Almeria has put out to tender the €215,000 project, which Public Works deputy Oscar Liria explained comes under the 2019 Almeria Hydrological Infrastructure Plan.
Liria said the objective is to “bring water cuts to an end and to automate the municipal tank.”
The works will include replacing obsolete pipes along a nearly five-kilometre stretch.
The deputy stressed the project was being 100 per cent financed by provincial funds.
