Mr BLAIR used a speech in London earlier this morning (Wednesday) to deliver a savage attack on the outgoing Labour leader following the party’s disastrous performance in last week’s elections.

According to reports from The Express Tony Blair slammed modern Labour as a hard-Left ‘comedy cult’ and warns the party to wake up and “come back to reality mainland”

The former PM, who won three elections and is the only Labour leader to have won a general election in the last 45 years, was more than blunt in his report on the party’s failure in the election hitting out at his successor for turning the party into a ‘glorified protest movement’.

Blair’s words come following mounting fears among moderates that the leader and his allies are clinging on to try to control the contest for his replacement – which could harden the grip of the far-left on Labour.

Mr Blair told an audience in central London that the detrimental election result ‘marks a moment in history’ and was ‘no ordinary defeat for Labour’

The Former PM encourages a “period of reflection” and to diagnose the causes of the “disaster” but stressed not to attempt to whitewash the defeat or pretend it is something other than it is, going on to say that Corbyn and his allies are out of touch with that the average Labour voter.
