DEADLY FIRE: An investigation will be launched to find out the cause of the deadly blaze in Sheffield, England. Credit: South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue.
A PERSON has been found dead following a raging fire at a flat in Sheffield, England.
The emergency services responded to a reported blaze at a property on Handsworth Road in Sheffield at around 11.30am on Saturday morning (November 23).
We at Euro Weekly News understand that firefighters from three crews at South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue rushed to the scene. Once they entered inside the property they found a person who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bus services were diverted in the area due to the fire, with Stagecoach Yorkshire releasing an announcement that apologised for any inconvenience caused to their service which “could not serve Handsworth inbound to Sheffield due to a house fire.”
A spokesman for South Yorkshire police revealed in a statement that the fire is not currently being treated as suspicious at this time and an investigation will be launched to find out the cause of the blaze. Details about the victim who died are yet to be released by authorities.
