A NEW concessionary, Specialised Services in Artistic Distribution (SEDA), is now running Altea’s Palau auditorium. The town hall’s Culture councillor Aurora Serrat, recently introduced the company’s CEO, Lope Garcia, who will be in charge at the auditorium for the next three years. “We are taking on this challenge with a great sense of responsibility and a great deal of enthusiasm, Garcia said. It was very important to SEDA to be running Altea’s Palau – a nationally acclaimed reference point for the performing arts – in the same year that Altea occupies the position of Valencia’s Cultural Capital, he added. Garcia thanked Altea town hall for the reception he had received from the team at the Culture department and also thanked the outgoing concessionary for Olympia Metropolitana for its simplifying the handover. “We are taking over with the intention of providing an optimum public service for Altea and to use our experience to make any necessary improvements,” Garcia said.
