THE Padel de Alcaucin court in Almuñécar is to close thanks to the changing rooms being once again being trashed by vandals.
The Alcaucín Town Council has reported through social media that the changing rooms have suffered “unjustified and cowardly acts of vandalism”.
Because of this the department of sports in the town has taken the decision to close the facility as with the constant costs of upkeep out weighs the income made from it.
“The parks are everyone’s, and it is the responsibility of all its care, and it is also the responsibility of all of us the immediate communication to the authorities of such acts of vandalism that hinder the healthy coexistence of all users and their proper use and enjoyment,” reads the statement.
The council have reported the facts to the Policia Local who are currently investigating to find the culprits of the destruction.
