Prime Minister Sánchez Off To Barcelona To visit Injured Cops

Caretaker Prime Minister Of Spain Pedro Sánchez said he is going to visit the police officers injured in the Barcelona riots.

Spain’s caretaker interior minister, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, reported yesterday that 288 police officers in total were injured in the weekend street riots, and 194 people arrested, 70 of which have already been brought before the courts with 18 remanded in custody.

For the first time in 7 days, the roads and streets of Barcelona were clear of roadblocks and demonstrators today, easing traffic congestion in the Catalan capital.
