More Empathy Needed For Mental Health Services Users

USERS and families of Mental Health services called for “normalisation” of these facilities and more empathy from society.
There was also a call from the local mental health association AFEM for more cash investment from Spain’s public administrations as Benidorm celebrated World Mental Health Day.
Members of AFEM, which supports the Marina Baja’s mental health patients and their families, read out a manifesto at a gathering in front of Benidorm town hall that was attended by the local mayor Toni Perez, councillors and AFEM president Maria Consolacion Muro.
Association members also hung a banner from the main balcony while others released balloons below.
