Burglary Gang Busted 

WEAPONS: Police found guns when they arrested burglars.  

TWO alleged members of a gang of burglars that hit homes in Malaga and Fuengirola have been detained by police. 

So far, six robberies have been attributed to them. The network was based in the northern part of Malaga city, from there they travelled by car to other parts of the province to carry out raids. 

Their targets were mainly houses located in quiet areas, with each member of the gang having specific roles to play. 

Two were responsible for entering the houses and stealing, the third was responsible for perimeter surveillance and being the getaway driver. 

From information obtained by intelligence investigators identified two suspects – a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, both of Spanish nationality. They were arrested for their alleged involvement in the crimes of robbery with force, belonging to a criminal group and illegal possession of weapons. 

In addition to the vehicle allegedly used to commit the robberies, a shotgun, a carbine, a telescopic sight, several knives and jewellery, were seized. Police have not revealed details about the alleged third gang member.
