A MAN is under arrest for shooting dead his ex-girlfriend, her family and her new boyfriend in the Austrian ski resort of Kitzbühel in the early hours of Sunday morning, international press reported.

The 25-year old turned himself over to police in Innsbruck and confessed a few hours after the five killings, media reports said.

According to reports, the couple split up a couple of months ago, but ran into each on Saturday night when the 19-year old was out with her new man and there was some kind of argument. The suspected gunman allegedly turned up at his ex-girlfriend’s home at around 4am, but left when the father refused to let him in.

He is believed to have returned a short time later armed with his brother’s pistol and shot the father, mother and brother before climbing over a balcony and getting into the teenager’s bedroom and killing both her and her 24-year old boyfriend, press reports said.
