Katarina Johnson-Thompson has broken the British record and claimed gold in the heptathlon at the World Athletics Championships in Doha.
She had finished the first day of the heptathlon in first place, 26-year-old Katarina held her grip on the lead and romped home in the final event of the day, the 800m.
The result put her in sixth place of all time, with an overall score of 6,981 points – breaking Jessica Ennis-Hill’s previous British record.
Katarina wasn’t expected to win the event with many favourites in front of her but she took them all on with great pride collecting another gold medal for GB.
