Recycled Boeing 747 In Underwater Theme Park

AN UNDERWATER theme park has opened for divers featuring a sunken passenger jet.

The plane was deliberately submerged at Dive Bahrain which is close to Bahrain airport and features the 70m-long Boeing 747 as its centrepiece.

In addition to the plane, divers can explore a replica of a traditional Bahraini pearl merchant house – artificial coral reefs and other sculptures to provide a safe haven for coral reef growth and to ensure a sustainable habitat for marine life.

The park offers 100,000 sq m of activities and trails for divers and is expected to gain global recognition as an international tourist attraction, given visitors a unique experience.
