Costa del Sol is officially taking part in the world’s largest charitable motorcycle event for owners of classic and vintage styled bikes on Sunday September 29th, 2019.

Distinguished gentlefolk in hundreds of cities worldwide will don their cravats, press their tweed and sit astride their classic and vintage styled motorcycles to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health.
This year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride will bring together over 120,000 well dressed gentlefolk in 700+ cities on stunning motorcycles across 110+ countries.

The Costa del Sol event will take place in Malaga, participants will depart from Plaza de la Marina at 12:00 and cross town such as Torremolinos and Benalmadena Costa to arrive at around 13:00 at Puerto Marina.

This is the sixth edition of the “Distinguished Gentlemans Ride”. The only requirement, in addition to registration, is to present yourself with a “vintage” dress and a classic motorcycle, including scooters.

The event is supported by several sponsors and collaborators, such as the City Council. There will be musical performances, Food trucks and beer tasting. A large influx of public is expected at both the start and finish areas.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of Mad Men’s Don Draper, sitting atop a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way to combat the often negative stereotype of motorcyclists, while connecting niche global motorcycle communities together.
That first ride in 2012 brought together over 2,500 riders across 64 cities. The success of the event sparked the idea to use the event as a platform to support a worthy cause.

Don’t miss out! But remember bring your finest manners, neatest facial foliage, a sense of fun and a smile.
