Transexual stabbed to death in Leon

A MALE arrested in Leon was linked to a transsexual woman’s death in Aviles (Asturias).

The body of the woman, who was 38 and of Brazilian nationality, had at laest 15 stab wounds and she had been dead for several days when she was found by a cleaner.

Pathologists entered the apartment once the authorities allowed the dead woman’s body to be moved, seeking evidence that could point to her killer.

The Brazilian’s original gender was discovered via her NIE identity number, where she was identified as male.

The apartment where the body was found appears to have been used for prostitution and police did not rule out the possibility that she had been murdered by a client.

According to police sources close to the case, investigators are trying to determine the relationships between the man detained in Leon and the woman, but stressed that reporting restrictions were still attached to the case.
