THE XVI edition of the Fiesta del Boquerón Victoriano de Rincón de la Victoria has received a boost thanks to the signing of an agreement that will see the annual festival join forces with top culinary organisations ARTCUA and Gastroarte. The City Council of Rincon de la Victoria, represented by the councilman of Tourism Antonio José Martín (PP), signed the document on Friday September 6. The aim is for the organizations to inform and train consumers on the attributes and qualities of anchovy, in addition to supporting the Fiesta del Boquerón Victoriano de Rincón. They will also be there to reinforce the role of the boquerón within the traditional cuisine and cement its place as one of the products of the gastronomic identity of Rincon de la Victoria. ARTCUA and Gastroarte will join Euro-Toques and AMUCO as supporters of the festival which will take place between the 25 to 29 of September. The mayor of Rincon de la Victoria, Francisco Salado (PP) has stressed “the importance of these collaboration agreements, which are a unique opportunity to promote the Victorian anchovy.” “The councilman also thanked the members “for their involvement in the celebration of this festival declared Provincial Tourist Singularity and deeply rooted in the municipality.”
