A YELLOW warning has been issued by the Meteorological Agency (Aemet) for storms in the interior of Alicante, the interior south of Castellon and the interior north of Valencia for the rest of the week.

A yellow level warning for storms indicates that strong local rains and strong winds are expected and there is a possibility of hail.

Aemet has stated that up to 20 litres could fall per square metre in just one hour.

The statement released by Aemet states that although the likelihood of widespread storms are between 10 and 40 per cent, residents should remain careful on the roads.
