Man stabbed to death in Spain after bar brawl

A 30-YEAR-OLD Romanian man has died in hospital after being stabbed in Villarubia de los Ojos, Ciudad Real. 

The suspected knifeman, also Romanian, was immediately detained after reportedly turning himself in at the scene of the crime.  

According to a report from the Guardia Civil the two men got into fight in a bar which escalated and led to one of them wielding a large knife in the middle of the street. 

After the incident was reported by locals outside the Gates of the Cordon Promenade the emergency services were contacted. The paramedics were the first to arrive at the scene and as soon as it was ascertained that a knife had caused the fatal wound, the Guardia Civil and the local police were mobilised and sent to arrest the attacker. 

A second man was also arrested and both are expected to appear at the court of Ciudad Real.
