GUARDIA Civil tracked down a suspected thief who made off after carrying out a robbery at a house in Roquetas de Mar.
A woman went inside her home only to realise there was someone behind her. When she turned round to see who it was an individual lurched towards her and yanked off the gold chains she was wearing round her neck.
Statements from the victim and from other witnesses, coupled with technology, enabled the Guardia to piece together exactly what had happened and to establish the identity, route and destination of the robber’s getaway vehicle, which he had left outside the property with the engine running.
The Guardia identified the suspect as 37-year old N.E.K., an individual with a lengthy record for crimes including membership of a criminal organisation.
