THE EMPLOYEES at Urbaser, an organic rubbish collection company, will go on strike from tomorrow (28 June) to protest the working conditions.
This will not affect recycling rubbish, but will affect the collection of organic rubbish and street cleaning.
Michelle van Gaalen Hassel from Centro de Servicios Alcántara said: “I ask you to minimize the deposit of organic waste in the containers. High heat is coming and this will make the situation worse. Let’s not forget the proliferation of rodents and pests.”
