Man arrested at Malaga Airport after trying to escape the country with his four children

GUARDIA CIVIL made a swift move to arrest a man at Malaga Airport last Thursday morning as he prepared to flee the country along with his four children.

This occurred after a woman, 28, of Swedish nationality reported her husband for domestic abuse to the Guardia Civil in Nerja.

She informed them that they had an argument over a phone charger, which he then used in attempt to strangle her.

She said she worried he was going to leave the country with their children after finding an email with flight tickets to Sweden.

The Guardia Civil officers located themselves at the security area of Malaga Airport. They spotted the man with the four children and arrested him.

A judge in Torrox has released him but an investigation into domestic abuse will be taking place.

The man is not allowed within a five hundred-metre radius of his four children and wife.
