SPAIN has so far conquered much of Europe and most of Africa in computer software programme to simulate a fantasy future conflict.
WorldWarBot 2020 has been simulating a hypothetical Third World War since Monday April 20 and posting developments to social media.
Algorithms for the software were created by Italian computer scientists who previously created simulations for civil wars in the US and their home country.
The programme began in 2020 and was in the year 2098 as of last week. Spain held much of Western, Central and Southern Europe including Britain, France, Germany and Italy at that point.
It is currently locked in a battle with Zimbabwe for East Africa after previously capturing the north and west of the continent.
