A 33-year-old British man injured three policemen and one Guardia Civil officer whilst being arrested in Puerto del Carmen, Lanzarote.
The individual reportedly became violent during his arrest due to an altercation in a bar.
He also broke the window of the police vehicle in which he was to be transferred.
Once in police custody, he also wrecked a prison cell door and was then taken to the psychiatric ward at the Molina Orosa Hospital.
The Court Number 1 judge of Arrecife has reportedly charged the man for causing injuries, damages and resisting police officials.
He will face multiple fines including €1,500 for property damages.
