PRINCE HARRY and Meghan Markle celebrated American Mother’s Day by sharing a photograph of their newborn’s feet.

The sweet photograph showed one-week-old Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor swaddled in a blanket and cradled in his mother’s arms.

Alongside the photograph, which was shared to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s official Instagram account, read a touching message: “Paying tribute to all mothers today – past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered.
“We honor and celebrate each and every one of you.
“Today is Mother’s Day in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Kenya, Japan, and several countries across Europe.
“This is the first Mother’s Day for The Duchess of Sussex.”

Royal commentators believe the reference to mother’s ‘lost but forever remembered’ was a tribute to Prince Harry’s own late mother, Princess Diana. The photograph also appears to have been taken in front of a bed of forget-me-nots, reportedly Princess Diana’s favourite flowers.

The caption used American spellings of words including ‘honor,’ leading commentators to speculate whether the Duchess of Sussex had written the message herself.
