Three men face up to 80 years for ‘sex assault’ on 18-year-old girl in Spain

PROSECUTORS in the Basque Country are asking for a total of 80 years in prison for three men accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old girl.

The suspects are said to have abused the girl in the town of Solokoetxe before filming the incident on a mobile phone and sending it to a contact through WhatsApp.

The men, two of whom are aged 20-years-old and one aged 28, allegedly carried out the crime the young woman after meeting her at a nightclub in January 2017. Two of the accused are said to have taken the girl to vending machine at around 7am before cornering and assaulting her. The third man allegedly arrived later and was about to join in the crime but fled when two cleaners arrived.

In addition to the alleged WhatsApp footage, prosecutors claim there is also CCTV video of the incident.
