MISTIQUE FASHION, a new shop in the Costa del Sol town of La Cala de Mijas, held its grand opening yesterday (Tuesday) after months of preparation and anticipation.
Local restaurateur and reality TV personality Elliott Wright was on hand to cut the ribbon for the store when it opened its doors for the first time yesterday afternoon.
The store, owned and run by couple and business partners Christina Stiksma and Randhir Sewnath, supplies clothing and accessories with unique designs.
Ms Stiksma, previously a fashion designer in Paris, Milan and other European cities, told Euro Weekly News she wanted to open a local store where high-quality clothes could be bought.
“I’ve only been here three months and I’ve opened a shop already. I never thought it would happen,” she said.
Ms Stiksma said the shop was open to anyone who was interesting in coming in to see their offering.
Elliott Wright told Euro Weekly News he was thrilled to see another business up and running on the coast.
“It’s great to see another local business opening. They’re popping up everywhere,” he said.
Mr Sewnath set up the social media pages for the store. He told Euro Weekly News he was happy to see his and his partner’s work finally come to fruition.
