Worker dies in lift shaft fall on Spain’s Costa Blanca

A WORKER has died after falling down a lift shaft in a building under construction the Costa Blanca in Spain.

The 53-year-old worker plunged three floors to his death yesterday afternoon (Monday) in Alicante city.

Emergency services who attended the incident tried to resuscitate the man but were unable to save his life and he died at the scene.

An investigation has been opened into the work-related accident.
