TRAGEDY: Child dies after being struck by train on railway tracks in Spain

A CHILD has passed away after having been run over by a train at the Rodalies de Sabadell Nord station in Barcelona this morning (Tuesday).

According to Renfe, a group of youngsters were on the tracks when the train hit the victim at around 10:15 am.

The Mossos d’Esquadra is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The railway’s circulation was interrupted with some delays until approximately 12:00 pm.
