MODEL and former Miss Spain winner Maria Jose Suarez has been arrested after flying into Madrid’s Barajas airport from the Dominican Republic.
The 44-year-old stunner was reportedly taken immediately to the Plaza de Castilla courts after flagging up two police alerts at passport control.
According to Spanish media, the legal problems relate to alleged unpaid fines which the brunette beauty was reportedly aware of before arriving in Spain.
Maria Jose, who won the sought-after Miss Spain title in 1996, is now thought to live in Miami and has since become an internationally-known fashion designer.
Ms Suarez has denied any unpaid fines.
