Black Eyed Peas come to Axarquia

INTERNATIONAL award-winning band The Black Eyed Peas are playing at this year’s Weekend Beach Festival in Torre del Mar.

The group, whose hits Where is the Love and I Gotta Feeling topped the charts, will be performing at the annual festival, which takes place between July 3 and 6.

The Grammy winners, who released albums Elephunk and Monkey Business, have reverted to their original line-up without Fergie, including will.i.am, apl.de.ap. and Taboo.  Their recent seventh studio album, Masters of the Sun Vol I, is, “loaded with social messages, political activism and hip hop sound combined with pop melodies.”  In this album, The Black Eyed Peas have collaborated with Nas to CL, De La Soul and Rick Slick, among other artists.

The Californian group is only playing three concerts in Spain this summer. The Weekend Beach Festival has previously hosted international acts The Offspring, The Prodigy and David Guetta.  Already confirmed to also appear this summer is reggae group the Original Wailers.
