WELCOME: Tarun has some work ahead! CREDIT: Terra Natura
BENIDORM has welcomed an unusual seasonal visitor, in the shape of a rhinoceros which has moved into the Terra Natura animal park. The new male Indian rhinoceros, named Tarun, has come to Benidorm as part of a European breeding program, and was transferred from Warsaw. Tarun is about 9-years-old, weighing in at around 2,000 kilos, and is said to be of a soft and calm nature, especially towards his carers, who hope to introduce him to Shiwa or Nisha, to see which of the ladies catches his eye, in the hope of continuing the breeding program they started in 2012. The only issue Tarun might face is if Nico, the current dominant male, catches wind of what´s happening, he may become aggressive and threatening. The females however are said to be sometimes indifferent, sometimes moody, and sometimes happy. We will leave you to make your own comparisons.
