THE city of Elche is set to be equipped with 200 free public WiFi spots and 35 kilometres of bicycle lanes by 2023 as part of the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI).
The project, which will be jointly financed by the Town Hall and the European Union, will mean a €30-million investment into the municipality.
Other projects hoped to be carried out include improving the city’s geolocation services, updating its electronic administration system, the addition of 57 new bus stops and introducing intelligent payment methods on buses.
