ON WEDNESDAY March 6, the Nerja Foreigners’ Department will host an English-language talk about Brexit and its implications for Britons living here.

The event, in collaboration with Blacktower Financial Management International, will cover topics on the minds of expatriates who would like clarification on the issues Brexit raises.

Issues covered will include the latest news on Brexit, the importance of obtaining a residence and being registered here, the advantages and options of being a resident versus non-resident here, any preparations ahead of March 29, and any obligations on resident and non-residents.

Nerja Council said: “With Brexit approaching and countries around the world exchanging financial information, it is important to take action now if you want to continue living here more than 6 months a year”

The talk will be presented by Tim Govaerts, Associate Director of Blacktower, Richard Mills, International Financial Advisor, and Anne Hernandez from Brexpats.  After the presentation, taking place at 11am in the town hall’s Salon de Actos, there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

The talk is free, but Nerja Council recommends booking in advance due to the limited capacity.  To book, or for more information, contact ilse.liebrechts@blacktowerfm.com or 952816443.
