ONE council has donated and nearly 50 toys for the Red Cross to distribute throughout Torre del Mar and Velez- Malaga so that no child is without a present during the Spanish celebrations. The gifts, which will be given to children during this week’s Three Kings celebrations, are designed to promote group play, at the request of the Red Cross. Velez-Malaga council has also avoided donating any toys seen to promote sexism or violence. The town’s mayor, Antonio Moreno Ferrer, delivered the gifts personally to local Red Cross president Eduardo Recio, saying: “especially in the case of the littlest ones, and on such an important date, no one deserves to be left without a present.”
