SPAIN’S Maritime Service has rescued more than 350 migrants crossing the Mediterranean from Africa to the Costa Blanca in the last 48 hours. As of 1.05pm today (Saturday), seven boats carrying 359 people were intercepted in the perilous waters off the region of Murcia. Official reports from Salvamiento Maritimo confirm 17 ‘health assistances’ were made at the scene and seven migrants were transferred to hospital facilities. Patrols are still being carried out in conjunction with the Guardia Civil and Red Cross.
