Tragic death of baby in locked car after being ‘forgotten’ by father

POLICE in Spain have arrested the father of a 21-month-old baby who died after being locked for hours inside a parked car in Spain.
The Spanish man allegedly forgot to drop the little girl at nursery on his way to work yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
When the child’s mother later went to collect her daughter from the nursery at 3pm staff informed her that she hadn’t arrived in the morning.
Reports say that the mother quickly found the parked car with her daughter unconscious inside.
She unlocked it with a set of keys she had as an ambulance and paramedics also arrived on the scene Hortaleza district of Madrid.
Despite administering 45 minutes of CPR the health professionals were unable to resuscitate the child.
Police are due to interview the father, who was in a state of shock, and he could face charges of reckless homicide.
