A 37-YEAR-OLD man has reportedly confessed to stabbing a 27-year-old woman near a Torremolinos supermarket after turning himself in at a police station in the town.
Police claimed the man told them he had killed his girlfriend. Officers later found the 27-year-old alive and she told them she had no relationship with him.
Emergency services sources said they received a call out for the woman. She was found lying near to the supermarket with multiple stab wounds to her face and neck and was taken to Malaga City’s Hospital Virgen de la Victoria.
Officers were despatched to the area not long before the 37-year-old confessed and told them he was the one who had called paramedics. He was arrested after his confession.
Police said the 27-year-old woman told them she had known him for a couple of days prior to the attack.
She claimed he approached her and asked for an “opportunity”. She refused and he responded saying he would rather spend the next 20 years in prison than let her pass him by, the woman claimed.
The man then began kicking and beating her before stabbing her and leaving her outside the supermarket. The case continues.
