A BRITISH woman was raped on a beach near the venue of the Benicassim music festival in Spain.
The 21-year-old was found in a disorientated state on the Torreon beach.
A group of youngsters found the young woman and called the police, who took her to hospital to treat her injuries.
She was unable to provide many details about her attacker, and told authorities she could not remember the incident clearly.
Reports say police were unable to draw up a photofit of the suspect as the victim was affected by alcohol.
Her clothes are being examined for forensic evidence, and local officials stressed the attack did not take place within the festival grounds, and deny that the attack was linked to it.
Benicassim town hall said it was unclear if the victim had been to the festival or simply on holiday in the area.
