A computer affected by the computer virus
ANOTHER ransomware attack has hit a number of companies around the world, including Spain.
Food giant Mondelez, owner of Oreo, Tang, Milka, Toblerone and others is among the multi-national corporations affected, as well as Britain’s Nivea and Ukraine’s Oschadbank.
Similar to last month’s attack, the targeted computer system will become unusable and a message demanding money in the form of Bitcoins appears on the screen.
The ransom is still the same, $300 (€265), to recover the encrypted files.
At the time of writing Ukraine appeared to be the country worst hit by the computer virus, with supermarkets and even government official’s computers being affected.
