Real Madrid celebrating a goal

REAL MADRID have claimed their twelfth Champions League trophy with an emphatic 4-1 win over Juventus.

Madrid struck first in the first half with a smooth finish from Cristiano Ronaldo in the 20th minute.

Their lead was short lived as Juventus’ Mandzukic scored a spectacular overhead kick for the equalizer seven minutes later, and swinging the momentum in the Italian side’s favour for the rest of the half.

There were several half-chances for both sides but the first half ended 1-1.

Madrid struck first yet again in the second half with a sensational shot from Casemiro in the 61st minute to take the lead, with Ronaldo scoring again just 2 minutes later to bring the score to 3-1.

It was smooth sailing from there for the Spanish side as they dominated possession.

The final nail in the coffin came with substitute Cuadrado getting a questionable second yellow card for a light push on Sergio Ramos in the 84th minute.

Playing with 10 men, Juventus conceded again in the 90th minute. The substitute Asension this time adding himself to the scoresheet.
