One dead and one seriously injured in petrol station explosion

ONE worker has died and another has been seriously injured in an explosion at a petrol station in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, Barcelona.

It is understood the outside contractors were performing cleaning and maintenance of underground tanks when the incident occurred at 15:18.

Emergency services and an air ambulance were quickly on the scene to recover the workers who were trapped  inside the tanks, but one had already died.
