PROVING that it is a multi-cultural town, Fuengirola will host La Feria de los Pueblos from April 27 to May 1.
30 of the 130 countries who have residents in the 10 square kilometres that make up the town will be represented but interestingly there will no booths from the UK or the Scandinavian countries.
The International Fairground will see the official opening at noon on April 27 where each of those represented will attend their individual booths dressed in national costume and promoting the food, culture and history of their homeland.
Every day there will be gastronomic and folklore events and Saturday April 29 will see a parade of the different nationalities starting in the Plaza de España at 11.30am en route to the International Fairground.
Every day sees the event run from noon to 4am with plenty of opportunity to enjoy the sights, sounds, food and drinks from Spain and many of the participating countries with music coming from the various Casetas.
Countries and regions participating are in no particular order Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Cuba, Brazil, Australia, Venezuela, Greece, Bulgaria, Mexico, Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Hawaii, Turkey, Belgium, Italy, Castile and Leon, India, Canary Islands, Spain, Andalusia, Egypt, Peru, Thailand, Morocco, Ireland, the United States, Finland, Jamaica, Asturias and Uruguay.
