A MAN was arrested in connection with up to 49 separate robberies in an Alicante urbanisation.
During a Guardia Civil investigation it became clear that the same method of forced entry was employed in each break-in, while similar types of items were targeted.
The 25-year-old allegedly chose recently-built properties with no inhabitants in the Marina Alta area and would steal kitchen appliances, boilers and electronic devices.
It is estimated that he plundered more than €50,000 worth in total.
The Guardia are also investigating his alleged involvement in a further 42 burglaries throughout the province.
