The moment of the explosion

A CARNIVAL in Villepinte France, near Paris ended in tragedy when a bonfire exploded for no apparent reason as it was being lit and at least 18 people were injured, some of them seriously including a mother and child and the local mayor.

Videos on social media show the actual explosion and whilst an investigation into the reason for the sudden and dramatic conflagration is to be undertaken, one suggestion is that the liberal use of petro to ignite the bonfire may have been the cause.
