A MAN who weighed 300 kilos has died while waiting for a crane to lift him out of his house to take him to hospital in Sevilla.
The 24-year-old’s relatives contacted emergency services when he began to suffer from chest pains but due to his size emergency services were unable to get him out of his house in time to save him.
It took the fire service more than four hours to remove the man’s body from the house using a crane in a “stressful” and “very difficult” situation according to a spokesperson.
Social services had been monitoring the 24-year-old’s situation as the family were not able to afford to take adequate care of him and the fire service had been called out several times previously to transfer him to hospital.
